Making better lives through Medical Care, Radhanath Swami and his Bhaktivedanta Hospital
Many instances exist, where small children have been given their smile back, thanks to Bhaktivedanta Hospital’s dedicated doctors and the encouragement of Radhanath Swami. Two recent examples come to mind: that of a three year old girl and also of another 3 year old boy. In Riya’s case, she got a new breath of life after doctors successfully removed a cancerous tumor weighing 2.5 kg off from her left kidney. As the tumor kept growing, all her internal organs were being compressed and it was extending up to her heart, said oncology-surgeon Vishnu Agrawal, adding that the little girl's stomach was bloating as a result. It was around a month ago that the family from Vrindavan, noticed that something was wrong with the child. The family realized something was wrong, when they saw Riya's abdomen had increased tremendously although she had stopped eating.
Dr. Agrawal said he was shocked to see a child of just three, having a 15-cm long tumor. In Riya's case, the tumor had extended towards the aorta, a large blood vessel that supplies blood to the heart. It was pushing through her organs - the liver, pancreas, colon, aorta and diaphragm, inching towards the heart. "Generally, the aorta is located on the left, but in Riya’s case it had shifted to the right because of the tumor," said Dr. Agrawal. "It took a five-hour surgery to remove the tumor. The damaged kidney was also removed." Riya's progress, said the doctor, is quite satisfactory. The girl will soon undergo chemotherapy."We are thankful to the doctors of Bhaktivedanta Hospital who have given my daughter a new life," said the child's mother Sunita. "It was painful to see her condition. After a long time, I have seen her smiling." Another similar story is of the boy in the following photos. His tumor was also successfully removed by the doctors of Bhaktivedanta Hospital and he is now growing towards a good recovery. And the doctors of Bhaktivedanta Hospital thank Radhanath Swami for inspiring and supporting them in their endeavors to bring medical care into the lives of many.

"For a year or so we noticed that Riya's abdomen was bloating, however, in the last six months when she started complaining of pain in the stomach and her stomach was bloating, we took her to the local doctor," said her father Subhashchandra. "She had a severe breathing problem and started vomiting after which we took her to a local hospital," said Subhashchandra. There, through a CT scan, she had been diagnosed to be having a huge abdominal tumor and was being advised surgery.

“ I have the good fortune of being associated with the Barsana Eye Camp since ever its conception and I would strongly recommend it to all of you. It is an Eye Camp where compassion and care is distributed...”

All glories to Maharaj!
Institutions like these have not only helped the community associated with the temple but has helped many others.
Hare Krishna.
Haribol your humble servant murali govinda dasa.
A very touching experience. But this would not be the case if it were to be any other hospital, as values are more important than looking at medicine just as a money churning venture.
Hare Krishna.
It is very inspiring to see the hard work and dedication of the team of devotee Dcotors working under the guidance of H.H.Radhanath Swami Maharaj.
