Radhanath Swami inspired Community Health Benefits Many

Based on an interview with the Management of Bhaktivedanta Hospital, Mumbai, India --

Case of Master Kalpesh Jadhav, Age: 16 years, Date: March 2009

Master Kalpesh Jadhav, a 16 year old boy studying in the 10th standard came to the Bhaktivedanta Hospital, with pain in abdomen and on & off vomiting. He had this complaint since almost 3 years.

On diagnostic laporoscopy, the findings were a rare "out pouching" from the lower portion of the small intestine -- [MECKEL'S DIVERTICULUM] was detected and found to be chronically inflamed. Decision to exise the diverticulum and anatomizing the remaining intestine was taken (MECKEL'S DIVERTICULUM is present rarely in 2% patients. It is 2 cm in length to 2 ft away from ilio-canal junction).

The community health initiative of Radhanath Swami came to the rescue here.

Kalpesh Jadhav The patient was treated free of charge from the Community Health Services funds as he was from a poor background. Now, Kalpesh does not complain of any pain and is moving ahead with his education. Operation Surgeon: Dr. Sanjay Parab
